Reimagining the 'Conshy'
Archi-zine for the Architecture Fringe 2021 UnLearning
The former Dundee College of Commerce building on Constitution Street in Dundee has been lying empty since 2011, and while there have been several planning applications and proposals, the zine aimed to look at the 'Conshy' in a more flexible way. Temporary use for the present and future use in fifty years time were both examined after initial questions put to members of the public. Intermediate or temporary use saw options like community gardens, covered recreation and market space and affordable studio space. Future use saw ideas like flexible living accommodation, performance spaces and adaptable co-working spaces.
